About the farm
Lovelight Farm is a market garden that uses sustainable and ecological growing methods to provide nutrient dense clean food to our community. We farm under the Certified Naturally Grown label; practicing soil conservation, water conservation, and supporting native pollinator habitats. Lovelight Farm produces inputs of compost and uses regenerative farming methods to ensure soil fertility without the use of any chemicals, herbicides, pesticides, or GMO’s.
We are a woman-owned and women labor force, operating with volunteers to farm on three of twelve acres of land. We all have families and are inspired to grow food that our children can eat straight from the fields without fear of chemicals.
Lovelight partners with local schools for hands-on projects and farm experiences that connect children to their food, showing them how it is grown and sold. Some schools host a mini farmers market that Lovelight supports through the process of how to run a farmstand business, giving the kids hands on work experience and communication skills.
