EVENTS

A few rules before coming to an event at our farm: 

Leave no trace - please dispose of your waste properly, use recycling bins for aluminum only and take with you what you have brought.

No dogs - please be considerate of our free range chickens and our property guardian dogs by not bringing your pets. If you did bring your dog they MUST BE ON LEASE AT ALL TIMES. 

Children are welcome to play, BUT must be attended by an adult at all times. Please do not allow your children to climb on farm equipment, enter barn or chicken coops.  

Please do not pick vegetables or flowers unless it is part of a group activity - respect our space as a working farm. All produce is allocated for business purposes unless otherwise part of a community activity.

During tours and community activities, please wear closed toed shoes, bring your sun hat, water, and sunscreen.

Farm School Fridays:

April 10 - Bugs (lady bug release) $25
This class is for pre-k through 8th grade.

The theme for April is Beneficial Insects! The class includes a farm tour and deeper exploration of beneficial insects and their role in the biodynamic cycle of life on the farm. Students will have the chance to release these insects into the greenhouses! 

May 8 - Three Sisters $35
This class is for kids pre-k through 8th grade.

We will be creating a three sisters garden for families to take home and grow their own garden! Come and learn about the three sisters: corn, squash, and beans, their Indigenous history, cultural significance, and nutritional value for this symbiotic method of gardening! Each family will make one container of plants to take home. Additional container gardens can be purchased at $15 each. 

June 12 - Natural Dyes $35
This class is for kids pre-k through 8th grade.

We will harvest flowers on the farm to create natural dyes and make dyed bandannas for participants to take home! Each family will also receive a sample of dried flowers. Additional bandanas for dying can be purchased for $5.

July 24 - Farm & Food (with Coosa Riverkeeper) FREE EVENT
(9am to 11am)

Coosa Riverkeeper's "Food & Farm" workshop will expand our knowledge of the process of growing produce and environmental impacts of farming, using the opportunity to teach healthy eating habits while tossing a salad. Children & parents will receive a farm tour, learning about the importance of clean water for farmers and their produce.
